At 8:00am, your guide will meet you at your hotel lobby. Then, you will take a private vehicle for about 2 hours to Kaiping. Upon arrival, you will visit Liyuan Garden in Zili Village firstly. These are typical representatives of Diaolou (Watch Towers) that are listed as cultural heritage by UNESCO in 2007. 

Kaiping Diaolou and Villages were built by overseas Kaiping people during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. These buildings take three forms: communal towers built by several families and used as temporary refuge, residential towers built by individual rich families and used as fortified residences, and watch towers to defend against local banditry. Lunch is arranged at a local restaurant.

After lunch, you will move to visit the old town of Chikan where you will view another towers and rural countryside. Afterwards you will be transferred back to your hotel in Guangzhou where this day tour concludes.
