Panorama city tour
The first part of the tour is a panorama city tour by car. Pass along Presidential Palace. Drive thru Palisady district, full of villas built in style of functionalism. The villas were built at the beginning of 20th century. Short stop at Bratislava Castle. Continue to house of Slovak Parliament. Last stop at Slavin Monument, a breathtaking view on Bratislava. Afterwards drive to Old Town.
Walking Tour
First part is a walking tour. It lasts 2,15 hours. Discover Slovak National Theater. Continue to Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra building – Reduta. Certainly stroke a head of the statue Man at Work, in order to return to Bratislava. At Main Square take a picture with a Napoleonic soldier. In addition hear a legend about the knight Roland. Even you can refresh in his fountain at Main Square. At first pass Old Town Hall to get to a hidden gem of the city – Primate’s Palace. At Franciscan square you can marvel at Franciscan Church. It’s the oldest sacral building of Bratislava. Afterwards walk down thru St. Michael’s Gate. Hear the stories about the executor, who lived next door to the gate.
Next stop will be Palace of Royal Hungarian Chamber. In this palace Hungarian Parliament used to meet. Last stops of walking tour are Academia Istropolitana, St. Catharine Chapel, Mozart House and Keglevich Palace. At the end of the walking tour admire St. Martin’s Cathedral. There were crowned 19 Hungarian kings & queens. The tour end at city center.
