Start your journey at 0830 hrs from Colombo port and proceed to Pinnawala and visit Millennium Elephant Foundation and learn more about Elephants than you ever have before. Get to see and touch these gentle giants. Feed and play with baby elephants. Get a chance watch the mahouts bathe them and maybe even help out. This is an experience that takes you closer to Elephants.

Millennium Elephant Foundation (MEF) a family run non-government organization (NGO) which is dedicated to improving the welfare of domestic elephants throughout Sri Lanka. MEF was started in 1999 in memory of Sam Samrasinghe. Charity Number 457.

They provide and fund the care, medical treatments, food, mahout salaries, the running costs of the charity as well as having an on call Mobile Veterinary Unit which travels around the country treating sick elephants in need. They rely on the income from volunteers and tourism to continue the important work we do for these gentle giants.

At least a 30 minute walk with an elephant around our grounds watching and observing the elephant whilst learning about Sri Lankan elephants

Free entrance and tour of Elephant Dung Paper Factory
Thereafter you can Enjoy a Lunch (at Your own cost)
Start return journey to Colombo from Pinnawala.
