Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel entrance early in the morning and you will travel to the south. On the way to Luxor you will pass some of the Upper Egyptian villages and so you can get an idea of life in this part of Egypt.
In the city of Luxor you will enter (tickets are included) all following monuments:
Karnak
First you will see the Karnak Temple - one of the most extraordinary temples in the world because it is still in amazingly good condition after thousands of years.
With a little imagination you will find yourself in the past of this impressive sacred monument.
You will have plenty of time to stroll, explore the entrance area, where you will get an impression of how the massive pylon was built, walk through the avenue of the Ram-headed cribs and discover the hypostyle hall with its more than a hundred giant fountains preserved columns.
Admire the hieroglyphs and paintings, see the sacred lake and take a look at the various chapels, temples and statues. And if you want, approach the Holy Scarab near the lake and surround it three times clockwise - according to legend, the descendants will soon follow!
Valley of the Kings
After lunch, we will show you the Valley of the Kings, where the ancient Egyptians buried their kings with their sons. You will descend to three tombs where you will discover the well-preserved colorful paintings and hieroglyphs on the walls.
Memnon
Afterwards we take you to admire the 3400 year old Colossi of Memnon. The gigantic statues of Pharaoh Amenophis III, which once stood in front of his no longer existing temple complex, which was even larger than the temple of Karnak.
Hatshepsut
Now we are ready for another highlight - the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, which was one of the most fascinating rulers of ancient Egypt, the pharaoh, who demonstrated her ability to successfully rule an empire and finally built an architecturally exceptional mortuary temple with colonnades, a portico and many statues, paintings and reliefs. In the end, you will have the opportunity to visit the perfume and papyrus factory and purchase unique gifts for your loved ones.
The program is finished around 17:00, when you will be ready to drive back to Hurghada.
