Day 01 - Airport to Kuruwita
On arrival, you will meet our Chauffeur/ Guide, who meet and greet at the Bandaranaike International Airport. Upon arrival in Kuruwita Sri Lanka, check in to your resort and the rest of the day will be spent at leisure.
Kuruwita is located in the Rathnapura District of Sambaragamuwa Province in Sri Lanka. Kuruwita is the lush green forest and singing birds alleviate which is overlooking the eminent mountain range of “Samanala adaviya” (Adam’s peak) nearby Kuruwita.. With surreal landscapes, cool climates, the bumper of waterfalls, and a rich magnificent mountain range of Adam’s peak which is a haven for nature lovers, hikers, adventures, seekers, and those simply in search of peace and tranquility.
Day 02 - Kuruwita to Bopath Ella –Batatotalena- Batadombalena – Kuru Ganga
- Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will embark on a full-day excursion around Kuruwita and Erathna some iconic places. We will proceed with the hotel around 0700hrs for completed the excursion today you will be covering area Bopath Ella waterfall, Batatotalena Cave, Batadomba Lena cave, and Kuru Ganga river safari with our experienced guide.
- Both Ella is situated in Rathnapura District. The waterfall shape is an affinity to the leaf of the scared “Bo tree”, which has named it this name. Both Ella is surrounding by the richest biodiversity. The fall born the Kuru Ganga river and the fall is 30 meters high.
- Batatotalena cave is located at 4.5Km away from Kuruwita also known as the Diva Guhawa in Buddhist Literature. According to the evidence the Buddhist people who, believed to spend the Lord Buddha in the cave during visiting to the Sri Pada.
- Batadomba Lena is another archeological site in Sri Lanka. It is accompanied by 8000 years BCE which is the most important site concerning the Stone Age Balangoda Culture of Sri Lanka. According to the evidence, the Balangoda Manawaya was living in this cave and unearthed at the site were stone tools that are interpreted as arrow - or spearheads, and carefully shaped and perforated beads made from ostrich eggshell fresh agments.
Kurogane is Brach of the Kalu Ganga River It has a namely “Seetha Gangula” (The cold river). The river is beginning from the hills of Sri Pada Mountain and there is steam of pure water.
On completion returned to the hotel for your overnight.
Day 03 - Rural Experience & Traditional Industry
Breakfast will be served at the hotel's main restaurant. Today we will leave towards another beauty of the area which is called Erathna village and You will be starting newly experience industry of Kithul palm from your hotel in Kuruwita. You will be reaching to Minuwandeniya to getting some experience for the Kithul palm tree industry.
While you will be reaching there your guide will be doing a short introduction of industry and what can you do there? You may also have the opportunity to witness the tapping of the Kitul (Fishtail Palm) sap with the tapper climbing the tree that might be close to 35- 40 feet in height with the aid of a wooden ladder tied on one side where he makes sharp cuts at the base of the cluster of flowers, where a mud pot is connected to collect the sap. The sap is collected over several days before it is made into Kitul Syrup or Jaggery. You may also buy some of the products to take with you. The walk ends after enjoying tea served in one of the homes.
- On completion, you will be starting the trekking tour around the village and while you will be spending with a tour can be seen most iconic scenic views. The trekking will be done by village peoples and our guide.
After the tour, we will be back at the hotel.
- Day 04 - Kuruwita to Erathna to Adam’s Peak to Dalhousie (Nallathanniya)
Breakfast at the hotel, this morning will proceed further up Adam’s Peak (via Erathna road) to start Pilgrimage trekking tour. We will leave at 6.00am from the hotel with our trekking guide and supporter. We will predict time to reach the top by 12.00pm.
- We will be climbing on off season that day after full moon day in May to day period December full moon day. But we are not allowing to climb night time because the path is not illuminated also you may not view to be at the peak for sunrise but high capability to explore the diversity of flora and fauna on the peak. The trail is reached on 12 Km with lush green surround. We offer you Lunch energy drinks and snacks with water throughout the tour.
Soaring above the surrounding hill in the southern west of the hill country is Adam’s Peak. Known also as Sri Pada (Sacred Footprint) due to the curious footprint – shaped indention at it summit, the mountain is considered sacred to adherents of all of Sri Lankan’s main faiths- Buddhist, Hindus and Christian – and attracts many pilgrims between December and May every year.
- On completion we will be climbing down by 1.30pm to Dalhousie and trail will be reaching head by 6.30pm at Dalhousie and proceed to your hotel. Check in to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 05 Dalhousie to Airport
On completion you will be depending on your departure flight time leave to the airport.
