After meeting your guide at about 8.00am you will be driven to a beautiful typical Northern Thai local market. The guide will do the shopping for the next couple of days and you will see some of the unique local specialties for sale there.
About an hour from Chiang Mai you'll begin a mostly uphill trek following a great mountain trail along a stream to the camp.
The natural surroundings besides the camp consists a lovely waterfall, so take advantage of a dip here in the cool water.
After lunch trek further for your first visit to a Karen village. Have a chat with the locals about their daily lives.
The route leading to the next Karen village is through some dense forest.
Overnight will be at a simple homestay within the Karen village itself.
After breakfast the next morning, the trek will be most downhill this time, passing rice-fields and more.
After reaching the truck, drive to the Wang River to go rafting before heading back to Chiang Mai

Longneck Karen is one of Karen tribes. They call themselves Padaung. It is believed that originally they came from Yunnan Province, central China. Later in 1000 AD according to the history, they migrated to Salween River Basin in Myanmar. In 1995, there were approximately 25,000 Padaungs living in Myanmar. They mainly live on traditional agricultural activities. After political incident against the minorities in Myanmar, Padaungs have evacuated from Myanmar and until now cannot fully identify where is the major location they are living in. It is believed that they scattered all over the area and co-live with other minority group that armed so that they can be protected.
