After breakfast in your Riad or Hotel around 8 am we will start your day trip toward Chefchaouen (blue city) which is a Morocco popular tourist attraction and welcoming town situated in the Rif Mountains just south of the Mediterranean coastline in northwest Morocco. This nice bleu city is known for its traditional buildings. Enjoy a walk to explore the white and blue washed walls of the medina and the markets that offer some unique native handicrafts. Chefchaouen is a fantastic destination for photography with its wonderful views of the Rif Mountains .Back to Fes in the afternoon

After breakfast at the riad, you will start to explore the oldest city in Morocco sailing through its narrow streets and alleys. Our tour begins visiting the door of the Royal Palace, the Jewish headquarters and the first ever Mellah built in Morocco. We will make sure to visit all sites with historical and cultural attractions, including the famous AlQaraouine University the oldest in the region, tanneries and Attarine Museum. After lunch, you will see, the ceramics factory and experience a wonderful panoramic view over the Medina of Fes. In the afternoon, we visit the new town “La Ville nouvelle” for a drink. In the morning we will go into the mountains to a region known as Imouzzer, which is blanketed by forests of cedar, juniper and cork oak. the area is well known for having abundant wildlife and we may see many types of birds, wild boar and Barbary apes on our scenic drive. Then the road will start climb into the Middle Atlas Mountains we may see the slopes dotted by the tents and goat herds of nomadic Berbers who call this rugged region home. After late lunch in Midelt, we continue on mountain roads overlooking the wide flowing Oued Ziz. Passing kasbahs and palm groves we pass through the adobe colored city of Er-Rachidia and arrive in the late afternoon to Merzouga, city on the outskirts of the Sahara Desert, Overnight in Merzouga.

You will visit the Gnawa people originally slaves brought from Sudan, to experience his music and lifestyle, while not faraway is the lake of Merzouga with its bird populations. You may also want to visit the house where many nomadic Berber wire crafts have a lower price than in big cities. In the afternoon it’s time for camel ride, guided by an experienced camel man where you will explore Merzouga sand sea. Dinner is in front of the store where you spend the night camp.

You will wake up early in the morning to see what may be the best sunrise of your life after which you can camel trek back to the village of Merzouga, admiring the unique beauty of the spectacular dunes of Erg Chebbi changing light as the day progresses. After breakfast we will stop in Rissani, Tinghir and Todgha Gorge the taller, narrow gorges in Morocco. Lunch at the heart of the Gorges above a walk through the Valley of Dades, where you will see the majestic sand castles and amazing rock formations known as “monkey fingers” . After breakfast, we’ll head to Taroudant via Taznakht, stopping at Taliouine to visit the Safran co-operative. If your visit coincides with the Safran harvest, you will have the opportunity to meet the Berber women with their families harvesting the safran in their fields. We should arrive at Taroudant in the afternoon, where you’ll see the ramparts and walk within the small alleys in the Medina. Taroudant is often referred to as “the little Marrakech” because most of its walls were built by the Saadian dynasty in the 16th century before they moved to the great “Red City”.

After breakfast we’ll head for Essaouira, travelling via Agadir, where we’ll stop for lunch. Agadir has a large beautiful beach and has been a big tourist destination for many years. There we’ll take a small walk on the Promenade before continuing to Essaouira, the coastal route offers beautiful scenery, an area famous for the Argan. Along the way you’ll see herds of goats climbing the Argan trees in the quest for riper food. Your overnight accommodation is at a riad in the Medina.

On our way – since this is the land of Argan culture – there’s an opportunity to visit the women’s co-operative of Argan oil where they extract the oil that is famous for its culinary, cosmetic and medical properties. We will continue our travel to Marrakech. After dinner you will enjoy walking in the famous square of Jemaa el-Fnaa, entertained with magicians, story tellers, musicians and snake charmers. Your guide will ensure that you see the most important places of historical and cultural interest, including the Saadian tombs; the Palace of El Bahia and the Ben Youssef Koranic school. Lunch is at a restaurant near the square, then in the afternoon you can visit the “Majorelle Gardens” and Koutoubia tower. Your last day of travel will take you back to your hotel in Marrakech or Casablanca.
