Take a ride to several of the top sites to get the best shots for your
Instagram account! It is also the ideal way to be introduced to some of the
cultural landmarks, iconic beaches and best viewpoints on Thailand's largest
island in less than half a day.
See the most popular sun-drenched beaches and the largest temple on the
island, the Big Buddha, and more. Everything, of course, is sparkling under the
sun so you will definitely be able to shoot some spectacular shots to show the
folks at home.
After you're picked up from your hotel, make your way to Patong Beach—one of
the most popular beaches in the area. Take in the view of blonde sands framed
by turquoise waters and dramatic rock formations just offshore. From there,
continue to Karon Viewpoint, where you can enjoy panoramic views of 3
beaches—Kata, Kata Noi, and Karon.
Proceed to Promthep Cape, at the south end of Phuket Island, to snap photos
of the breathtaking scenery of the coastline. Make your way to the neighbouring
Wat Chalong, one of the most venerated temples in Phuket. Admire the beautiful
designs of Siamese architecture, and observe the practices of local Buddhist
culture. Also a very photographed place is the island's magnificent
Big Buddha statue, so a stop will be made here too. This is one
of the most important and revered landmarks on the island and the visit here
comes highly recommended. The large Buddha Statue sits on top of the hill
between Chalong and Kata and, at 45 metres tall, can be seen from as far away
as Phuket Town and Karon Beach. The views are simply amazing.
Lastly, head back to Phuket Town and stop to see some of the well-preserved
and historic Sino-Portuguese architecture of the city. These also make for
great pictures. Your outing ends at Gems Gallery International where you can
opt to stay and shop, if you wish, before hopping on a bus to be dropped
off back at your hotel.
