Pick up from your Hua Hin or Cha-am resorts will be between about 8.30am to 9.00am for the morning tour and 12.30pm to 1.00pm for the afternoon tour. First stop will be at the Monkey Mountain - Khao Takiab - where the Big Buddha Statue is by the sea. Drive up the hill to the best vantage point for a magnificent view of the beautiful coastline of Hua Hin.
One of the highlights of the tour will be going to the temple of Wat Huay Mongkol which houses the enormous statue of Luang Phor Thuad. Luang Phor Thuad is a legendary Thai monk revered for his enlightenment and ability to perform miracles. The statue, which can be seen from miles away, has him sitting in the meditation pose. You will stay here for approximately 30 minutes.
Wine lovers especially will shine to this next destination on the tour's itinerary, Hua Hin Hills Vineyard. Not only is it special because is the first and only farm in Hua Hin district. It is special because it is on the beach which used to be home to wild elephants. Therefore, soil and climate conditions are perfect for the growth of a wide variety of grapes – Columbard, Chenin blanc, Shiraz, Brunello and other 20 species. A complimentary welcome drink, grape juice of course, will be served. However, guests will have the opportunity to do some wine tasting (own expense) should they wish. The best time to visit is February/March when it is harvest time.
After roughly one hour here you will move onto Plearnwan. Plearnwan is a delightful, small open-air mall with some shops in a somewhat imitated setting of previous times.
