If you are a golf lover This is the best way to come visit, enjoy great golf combined with an unforgettable experience of this island's culture, diversity and most importantly it's warm and friendly hospitality.In 1879, a handful of intrepid British expatriates decided that it was time to introduce golf to a small British Colony called Ceylon. The British were recognized for their skills in organized sports and it inevitably spread throughout Ceylon. The Royal Colombo Golf Club is thought to be the second oldest golf club outside Britain after India's Royal Calcutta Golf Club. Sri Lanka is also known to host several international tournaments, including the SriLankan Airlines Golf Classic which takes place at Kandy's famed Victoria Golf and Country Resort. All golf courses charge a fee of around 30-60 USD and you should also expect to pay caddie and ball spotter fees as well if need be. most of the golf lovers did not forget to play a sesseon in colombo golf course
